Job Description: Lead Press Operator

Basic Overview:

• Primary Press Production

Duties:

• Leads in the operation of offset presses to perform daily work assignments.
• Maintains a clean work area and provides an example in workmanship to other employees.
• Assists in prepress setup.
• Assists other press operators in the fulfillment of their duties.
• Performs necessary maintenance on all printing equipment, i.e., processor, press, cutter.
• Is responsible for quantity and quality of work performed.
• Notifies manager of any complications of jobs, i.e.. poor originals, no stock, no proof signatures.
• Requisitions materials for camera and press room.
• Bindery (filler as needed)
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Relationship: Supervised by Production Supervisor/Manager
