Job Description: Third / Apprentice Press Operator

Basic Overview:

• Primary Press Production

Duties:

• Undergoes training in the operation of offset presses under the leadership of the Lead Press Operator.
• Performs bindery operations to complete job packaging.
• Processes paperwork for delivery and final invoicing.
• Maintains a clean work area and provides an example in workmanship to other employees.
• Assists other press operators in the fulfillment of their duties as assigned by Lead Press Operator.
• Pre-Preps Jobs for other operators.
• Duties include Stock preparation, Camera work, Plate making.
• Cleaning, Maintenance, Inventory, other duties as assigned by Lead Operator.
• Performs preventive maintenance on printing equipment as assigned.
• Is responsible for quantity and quality of work performed.
• Notifies Lead Press Operator of any complications of jobs, i.e., poor originals, no stock, no proof signatures.
• Other duties as assigned by Lead Operator or Manager.

Supervised by Lead Press Operator, Production Supervisor/Manager, Owners
